Apples to Apples
You will need: various fruits and vegetables
This is your chance to compare apples to apples, along with many other types of fruits and vegetables!
Encourage your child to help you pick out a variety of fruits and vegetables when you take a trip to the grocery store. Before snack time, ask your child to predict which food will have the most seeds? The least? Then, cut each item in half. Were their predictions accurate? For a fun math activity, take out the seeds to sort them by size, color, kind and more! Talk about the similarities and differences of the seeds while you enjoy a healthy snack of fruits and vegetables!
